To facilitate automated and manual testing with MDUS (Master Data Unification & Synchronization Solutions), Siemens embarked on a digital transformation journey by implementing SAP's Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solution as test LAB environment. Develop SAP test workbench with interfaces using PI/PO middleware solutions. Develop automated test cases for testing customer specific use cases in a simulated environment. The organization faced challenges in manual meter reading, data management, and responding to customer queries promptly. They sought a comprehensive solution to automate their testing processes, improve data accuracy, and leverage real-time insights for better decision-making. The integration allowed for real-time communication and data exchange between the utility's central SAP system and field devices in a simulated environment.
